CharaTalk Privacy Policy
CharaTalk does not collect, store, transmit, or share any data. Period.
- Everything runs on the device. The photos you import, the audio you use, and the videos CharaTalk generates are processed entirely on the device you run it on — a Mac, iPad or iPhone — and are saved only where you choose to save them.
- No network access. The app has no networking capability at all — it cannot upload, download, or phone home, even in the background.
- Photos (iPad and iPhone). You pick a portrait through the system photo picker, which hands CharaTalk only the one image you choose — the app cannot browse your library. If you tap Save to Photos, iOS asks once for permission to add to your library; CharaTalk can add the videos you choose to save and can never read what is in it.
- Microphone. CharaTalk uses the microphone only while you record a line, after you allow it. The recording is saved on your device and never leaves it.
- No accounts, no tracking. There is no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party SDKs that collect data.
- App Store label. CharaTalk's App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected," and this policy is the long form of exactly that.
If Apple's standard services (the App Store, TestFlight, in-app purchases) collect data in connection with your download, purchase, or beta participation, that collection is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours — we never receive it. The optional in-app purchase is processed entirely by the App Store; CharaTalk only learns whether the full version is unlocked.
